Frost Bank

Frost Bank is a Texas bank founded in 1868 offering banking, investment and insurance products to Texans through more than 200 financial centers, with over $53 billion in assets.

Frost Bank is a Texas-based bank founded in 1868 that provides banking, investment and insurance products to customers across the state. With more than $53 billion in total assets and over 200 financial centers, it ranks among the 50 largest banks in the United States. Its operations span retail banking, wealth and investment management, insurance and wider financial services, with a presence in San Antonio, Houston and Dallas.

The bank has operated for more than 150 years and remained solvent through episodes that felled many of its peers: it survived the Great Depression, when more than 5,000 banks failed, and was the only Texas bank to weather the state's banking collapse of the 1980s without federal assistance. Frost has also been ranked highest in J.D. Power customer satisfaction in Texas for 16 consecutive years.

Recent activity has been expansionary rather than defensive. Frost has doubled its presence in Houston and tripled its locations in Dallas at a time when some competitors have pulled back. Its stated operating philosophy, "people matter most", is reflected in services such as 24/7 live customer support staffed by people rather than automated phone trees, and in a founding commitment to treat everyone with significance and respect.
